The Federal Union of German Associations of Housing and Real Estate GdW is a confederation of regional federations. With these regional member federations GdW is representing the whole pluralistic variety of Housing and Real Estate associations, companies and cooperatives, which are standing for high quality, reliability, continuity, competence on the different fields of housing and strength based on its variety.

Ca. 3.000 Companies and Cooperatives, affiliated to 14 regional federations, are administrating nearly 6.2 Mio rental housing units and free hold flats in all segments of the market.

They take over missions of development, rehabilitation and promoting and are optimizing the stock of housing and real estate for private and public commissioners. They are professional service providers around housing and real estate: From financing  and the different services  to the technical housing and building management and the use of multimedia. They are privileged partners  for tenants, builders, homeowners as well as for local authorities and other public institutions, looking for high competence and reliability in order to realize high quality.
